Likewise. Trees are the easiest solution. But I'm guessing you don't have that option. Fortunately, all my best hog feed sites are in hardwood creek bottoms and plenty of good heavy braches to hang a pulley and rope from.
Just make sure you hang them high enough to keep to keep the neighbors cows that got out from busting the slinger off to get feeder to dump all the corn, as seen here on my feeder!!! I almost shot this cow for doing this, glad I didn't though... |

We use hog panels around all of our feeders, usually about 10-14 16' panels in a circle around your feeder will do the trick if they are secured properly... They will still eat around the edge of your pen but they wont be running your deer off or tearing up your feeder anymore, heres a pic....

We recently had 3 of our 5 feeders knocked down. we are hanging ours now. buying new motors is 2 expensive we will hang em all now.
