Default East Texas Boar

I have been hunting this boar for several months and killed him tonight. I shot him with my Blaser R-93 Professional Tracker in 308 topped with a Leupold VX III 1.5-5 illuminated reticle loaded with 170 gr round nose Corelokt, 46.5 grs Varget, CCI 250 primer in Lapua brass.

I tried to weigh him, but he bottomed out my 200 pound scale. I estimate him to be between 250-275 pounds.

He ran about 40 yards and my Lab pup, Annie, found him for me.

Nice pig! Where in east TX? I hunt up in Marion Co. we have quite a few pigs up there too. To many rocks to get much of a set of cutters on them though.

I shot this hog in Nacogdoches county.

Mine and my wife's best friends live in Hughes Springs.
