Buffalo Meat - Need Help
Hey guys,
If I was to take a 700-750 pound cow buffalo how much meat would I expect to get back?
I'm guessing 250 - 300 pounds. Is there a calculation or rule of thumb to consider here?

RE: Buffalo Meat - Need Help
We take several off my friends place yearly. (2 or more for the past 10 years). The cows are between 600 to 700 pounds and for the most part we get 184 to 212 pounds back. Could just be the processor but we get closer to X 33 to X35. I am sure it varies just like beef. Better fed greater the yield. Still Buff burger is great to use in everything.
