when i shot him he hell in the mud and got covered in it so that probly covered some of the smell because i didn't notice anything. but it had some smell. and i've only ate a small steak so far so i dont know about that ha.

Wild sika like we have in MD live in the swamps, and have more of an elk taste than deer. Very dark meat. During rut in Oct. they stink to high heavens. Like a moose, they urinate in a wollow and roll around in it.

big country how did you do with the sika this year? we didnt make it out to assateague this year chasing the whitetail to much.
