Hog Mount
#5

Funny thing is that I was packing up from a VERY unproductive cold day of deer hunting. I was putting everything into my backpack and when I looked up at the feeder in the dusk all I saw was what appeared to be a shadow. I picked up my binoculars and saw it was a hog! Grabbed my gun and aimed right behind his front shoulder and pulled the trigger. The muzzle flash blinded me and I heard a squeel and heard brush break. About 15 minutes later the ranch forman showed up said did you get anything? I thought I had shot a little 50lb hog or so. I had been up in the thick brush looking for this guy with no flashlight and no weapon. I left my gun leaning against the feeder. I wont do that again!

good looking mount.
I did the same thing one night after shooting one. We were crawling through the brush on our hands and knees to get to about a 300 lb boar we shot. The brush was so thick you could barely move and about 15 feet from it the boar got up. Luckily it decided to go the other way. After that we always carried a rifle with us when going to get one.
