Nice hog!! BAD choice of caliber selection though!!
Bad choice?........I have the deadhogpictures of a member of this forum, Venado Loco, which he killed by shooting them in the ear with .17HMR on open range not a pen...
My brother-in-law is the sporting goods manager at a walmart in alabama. They can't keep the Marlin .17 hmr rifles in stock, best selling hog rifle in town.

I tell you what,..........Venado Loco made a believer out of me. And he is what I consider a Hog Hunter!!!

I use to be of the opinion that arrows wouldn't humanly take game! The Hornet and the arrow both work well if the shot is a good one.We should let Kanga tag along if he takes shower! After all he is my hero, mentor, idol,COACH!I want to see him jump on a hog and pull some special ed. or special forces moves...whichever he was in.After all Chuck Norris has poster of him on the wall...Russ is that good...just ask him!

My buddy's son took a free ranging 300 lb'er the other day with one shot from an open sight 22lr.
The hornet is a lot more than 22lr.
45gr Hollow point at 2700 fps does some nasty damage.
This was a neck shot spike using the hornet and this load, check out the exit wound on the neck.
aint nothing wrong with a bullet coming apart, leaves lots of damage
