another way to do it ...Done It

Thurs. I busted my butt mechanically clearing about 4 acres of the thickest, nastiest,neglected woods you've ever seen and my nephew called and wanted to show me a pic of this 350 lb. barred hog that he got, i was so tired, but i said "yes", i figured it would only take a few minutes, lol...i get there and he gets this bright idea ,"let's go get us a boar hog" so we did.. i saw a sow and some shoults running, but he said we can go back if we don't see anything else, a few minutes later i saw another one but wasn't sure and the dog wasn't reacting, so we kept on driving... didn't see a thing so we stopped at this lil head where i thought i had seen one and let Cricket out, wasn't 2 minutes later, she is baying...he's like" let's go!" and he was gone , i grabbed a rope and ran to where i thought he was, Thank God, i ran into him before the hog, lol....i was seeing these wallows, i asked him "if the cows did them because he works on the cattle ranch we were on and would know, he said " No, HOGS "....i would of never gone into this thick stuff if i had known that before hand , at least not without a constant visual on him , the dog has it bayed, backed up to a fallen tree's root system, he was saying how he needed a rope, lol....luckily i grabbed it, so i handed it to him, the look on his face was great when i said "Here, take this one", lol....( i have never caught a hog and taken it out alive, but i knew we needed more than our hands and the dog, lol...)he attemped to lower the rope around it's head 3 times, the 4th time he got it, throws me the rope and says "PULL", so i pulled like my life depended on it, lol...he jumps over the tree and onto the hog, then he needed his hobble thingy, so i had to go back to the truck and get them, i brought my camera on the way back in, but i had to put it down because i had to help, the video shows a lil bit of the nasty stuff we were in....the hog almost got my ankle on the way out, didn't think i could move that quick, lol .......His fiance' and the girls went with us too, but they stayed in the truck, it was great hanging out with them all, his girls are too cute, they are some hunting fools and the one can barely talk...he's not really my nephew , my sister married into the family, then she got divorced, but we're the only aunts him and his brothers have ever had, so we all decided to keep it that way , i'm so glad we did......
He's turned into a good man and an awesome daddy....would of never thought that when he was 16 yrs. old, lol.....
