    Iv never kiied a hog and therefor never dressed a hog. Is it different than a deer. What needs to be done before I can throw it an a BBQ smoker?

    Kill it or else it will keep jumping out of the smoker!!!

    Being serious, now just care of it like any other animal. Small hogs I dress out for the BBQ, larger ones, I just quarter up on the spot take out the loin, and leave the rest for the scavengers.
