There's been two sows and about 30 piglets that have been leaving a pasture I hunt in the morning, and coming back through in the afternoon to a water hole. I've spent the last couple of days scouting, and I new success was close yesterday. I arrived at the waterhole at 6:30, and could tell the hogs had been there about an hour to an hour and a half before by the amount of stain in the water. So I decided to hit the waterhole today at 5pm. The hogs were already there. Between myself and the dog, we bagged the lead sow and three piglets.

Now if I can just get that other sow tomorrow, I'll be having piglet every meal the rest of this month.:D

I need to restock myfrezzer with some hogs, I'll be taking my son on his first hunt. He decided he wanted to try hog hunting. This should be fun for us both.

I have a pork roast I'm going to throw in crockpot for Sunday(domestic pork) with some onion soup mix and veggies! This thread has me hunger for some pork so gotta make do with what I got![8D]

Both of them baby's called last night at the same time, on two separate lines. Rowel on the right ear, Russ on the left, I felt like a hog with a litter. They were both crying to me like little babies...Russ's bow was too little, and Rowel didn't have one.. Does anyone want to adopt one of them from me? Help dear Abby, what am I to do?:D:D:D

You guys have a great sense of humor and Ill start sharing some of my years of hog hunting while moving all over the great state of TEXAS! I love to shoot the oinkers and have taken many who have never hunted beforeon a hog hunt to get them started, nothing like killing a piglet off the teeeeeeet of momma!!!!!

What sense of humor? Rev and another person who will be unnamed(Aussie)are just that messed up! If you come across any hogs that need nuetering just pm The Rev...he'll shoot them in the sitting end instead of the thinking end!:DI had a pork roast with taters and carrots after having been rubbed with onion soup mix last night! Damned it was good...everytime I think about finding the next ex-wife I do something to remind me that I can survive without one! Headed up that way in a couple weeks Aussie,warn Rev and we'll see about getting together.;)

This is opening weekend of deer season(firearm) and I'm gonna lay low,after this it's gonna be every other weekend traveling! Tis the time of year family and vacation all come together.gonna try get me a porker up in Jack county and not so much worry about deer for myself.I have a 17 year old son that will take care of that so I'm gun bearer!Sure is hard to resist the urge to go hunting this weekend with 4 days off!

I am actually going that way to kill some does off a place outside Bowie Tx, hopefully kill an oinker while I am at it.... hunting all weekend bow and rifle - I encourage you to go into the wild with the time off you are talking. Good luck with the hunts.

I made it! Got too go chase critters over the weekend,ended up taking a gobbler and am going back next weekend and see if my son can get a doe,weather is just to warm to call it fall and hunt!

shhh! Damned Russ I had escaped,nobody would think bad of me if you hadn't have said something! Only reason I killed him was I was sitting on top of deer blind,broom weed is so tall you don't see anything.I was sitting there watching a spike down near feeder and all I could see was his head when he was walking.At the shot about 12 other birds I couldn't see took wing!
