Default G5 Montec Broadhead on Hogs....

100 gr. I know everyone says Muzzy, Muzzy, Muzzy, but I acquired some Montecs as a gift. Are these good enough, or should I take em back?

P.S. Using them on hogs.

ThoseStingers look much more capable of cutting on contact than the Montecs do. I will definitely look into those bad boys!

If someone gave me apack of heads I would just have to stick one in a pig and see how they do!

Anysharp broadhead put into the lungs or heart of any animal will do the job.

With that said,I have taken deer, bear and feral hogs with 85 and 100 grain G5 monotec's. I am pleased with how they perform and how they are easily resharpened.

Two Thumbs Up

People have been killing hogs for thousands of years with sharp sticks, I think what you have will do. Txjourneyman is right, just stick a pig and see for yourself.

I use 125gr G5s on my recurve arrows... got no compalints from me... or the pork in the freezer LOL

although I do use a big two blade head on my longbow arrows, just couldn't get the montcs to fly right out of the longbow.

Those G5's will do the job. Don't worry about it.

I've killed hogs big and small with various two and three blade cut on contact bh's. All with the same result. Dead pig.

Keep your shot tight to the shoulder crease and low in the pocket.

I have used them for the last couple of years on everything.

They go through bacon like a hot knife through butter.
