What is the best way to find hogs on land that you are not familiar with? I have seen them twice where I used to Deer hunt, killed 1 the first time went back 3 weeks later to hunt them, and they were in the same spot, killed another, but that was 5 years ago. Now I want one with my bow, just not sure how to find them. There is a river running through the property with a lot of creeks.

Look for areas that they have been rooting around in then dig some holes and put the soured corn in.
They will keep coming back untill they have got all the corn.

Another old trick is to get an old wheat bag soak it in deisel and tie it to a post or tree the hogs will rub up against it to get rid of ticks and fleas.

They will wear a track around the tree:D

Does the diesel fuel not affect the meat?
Not sure about the taste but it will get 20 miles per gallon.

No need to waste a bunch of money on all the fancy treats.

good ole corn works great. . . .if it really bugs you to give a few pounds to the other critters then yepper mix a bit of deisel with it. . .The meat will eat just fine.

For your public hunt find their signs around and lay down your corn a few hours before you hunt and letem come.:)

I would think that all the corn is gonna do on such a short notice is hold the pigs to a given spot for a few rather than bring them in from far and wide. You goota have a pretty good idea to begin with as to where they may be or at least traveling lanes.

I'm curious about the corn laced with diesel fuel....is the diesel smell or taste an attractantor is the diesel there to repel other corn eaters? Ray
