Nice pig, now you just have to shed that LSU shirt... I can get you a Texas Tech shirt.
Good call!

It appears that none of my "relatives" have ever posted. Would that mean that they are figments?? Maybe they are not the only figments..!

Here is a pic of a hog that apparently had been shot but survived with its guts hanging out. They can be tough animals for those that are not hit in the right place.

I looked forever to find a place in North America where I could kill a 100 percent, pureblood Russian boar. I ended up going to Ontario, Canada and shooting one on a reserve (Ontario has since ended canned hunting ... my hunt there was fun, but the results were guaranteed behind a high-fence). This hog you killed in Texas is every bitas impressive as the one I killedon the reserve. Very nice trophy. Exceptional Texas boar!

Thank you Dr. Swat. I have no idea what these Tx hogs are since we see them in all forms and colors. I've seen a few that looked like "Russians" but the majority look more like domestic hogs but with larger more elongated heads.

The place that these hogs came from has had a huge population in years past. We killed about 200 in 2003, 150 in 2004,60 in 2005 and only 15 in 2006. Not only is the pressure apparently getting to them but the drought certainly has to be effecting the surviveability of offspring.

Here is a typical size and grouping. Nothing like those big boars that are fairly rare.
