My first hog which was the first anything I have killed was this 70 lb boar at 40 yards using a single shot H&R 12 guage. The bullet must have hit him in the spine because he dropped on the spot. Meat was very tasty. The ribs were the best I had ever had. Used a mix of barbecue sauce, molasses, and hot sauce.
Hog hunting is very addictive. I have since killed 6 more, two of which have gone into my freezer

This one involved a steep muddyenbankment and an eight yard shot in the rain. About 180 pounds, 2.5 inch tusks. 'Was some years back; August of 2002, I think. Heart shot with a 45 pound bow while still hunting.

Here is a guy I took with my old 1978 recurve bow not too long ago.

Here is a nice eaten sow I arrowed a few months ago with an old 1986 Hoyt compound. I just love my old bows.

This guy was taken with the same old hoyt bow I built back in the early 80s

Here is a little sow I took with a more recent compound bow I built. Its a Hoyt power tech I put redline limbs on and HO cam. Its a sweat shooter.
