Do Hogs Squeal when shot?

Thanks for the infoguys. Yes I feel awful. this is he first animal I have not recovered. I am pretty sure I hit him. So from now on I will make sure of my shot and pay close attentiont o where he goes

Split 75/25 on my hogs.Most of the time if they are hit real hard,and are trying to get up they will squeal quite a bit.When Head shot with my 30-06...usually no squeal.
Most of the timemine dosqueal/grunt when shot with a bow.
With all that said...If a hog is able to go under it's own power,and doesn't squeal I would say you missed.But I wouldn't swear by it.I think since you did a good job of looking for blood,and found nothing to go on,you probably missed.
