Usually go by cutter length. Long unbroke cuttes equal a cool mount. Never had a real mount. I like to do euros my self. Easy and cheap.
Here is one I did a few years ago. He was 300 lbs.

Thats the way to do it!!!! Pigs to me are too ugly to have in the house.. It's like mounting a nasty ole Billy Goat...Plus Mama won't let me bring in dead animals in the house any more..She said, enough is enough...
And when Mama is happy, everybody is happy!!!

i have to agree, euro mount if you insist on a mount. They look much better than a big ugly black blod with teeth hanging out =) I love the Euro mounts, not big on the real deal hog or deer.

Tusks are specially formed teeth that usually grow to an extreme size. One of the most visually disturbing tusked mammals is the babirusa, a wild hog found in Asia. Their large upper canines grow outward and backward, tending to form a complete circle. When fully developed, a babirusa's upper canines grow upward through its skin, piercing the snout--then the tusks curve backward and downward, often touching the forehead! Can you say "OUCH?"Even little deer can grow tusks! The male musk deer of China grows tusks instead of antlers. These small deer are sought after for the musk the males produce, which is used extensively in the manufacture of perfume, soap, and medicinal preparations. Musk is reputed to be the most expensive animal product in the world, fetching up to $45,000 per kg on the international market! Musk deer are now endangered due to hunting and poaching.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I happen to appreciate nice tall mohawks on hogs, various coloration differences, etc. I don't go by any measurement as to whether or not I mount a hog. Some animals deserve to be mounted simply for the experience, they might have given you. Here is one I got full mounted. It's one of about 6 I have on the wall.
