I agree Big Boar. I had my hog mounted so i could look at it and remember the great time that I had with my buddies when we went on the hunt. It is not the biggest boar ever but he was a trophy to me and I value the mount as a reminder and also as a monument to the hog.

Shoot, im in the wrong buisness. I could do at least 6 a year. I arrow at least 6 nice boars a year, and could shoot many more with a rifle.

OH MY CRAP rebel haha thats crazy. jus the skull looks mean but then theres the full pic and it just looks silly. =) Jus the skull would prolly keep most the guys i know out of the woods.

Nope, on all my eruo mounts I simply simmer them in water with bakeing soda and clean the meat off. Then bleach them with peroxide. Either simmer it in 3% peroxide, or soak it in a stronger than 3% soultion. Its real easy.

Its no problem. Use a coat hanger and make a hook. After it has simmered a little, scramble them up some. They will start coming out. Every once and a while, take it out and use a garden hose to blast out some. The trick is, if something is stubborn, dont work to hard to get it off, just simmer it a little more. The cartilage is the hard stuff to get off, but like I said, just let it simmer. Also, when you get most of the meat, brains, and cartilage off, there will be little pieces of these materials in the little cracks andcrevices. Don't worry too much about that, the peroxide will take care of that when you bleach it. Only thing to watch out for when bleaching, do not bleach the bones too thin. On a hog, its hard to do, but with a thinner boned animal, like a deer, its not hard. Hogs have oily bones, and usually need to be bleached pretty good. I like to simmer in 3% peroxide and when you pull the skull out to check it, you will see the bleached parts dry quick and look real white. the parts that need more bleaching will not dry and look white. It will make sense if you do one. Also, watch out when you pour out your water/peroxide, teeth will fall out. Just don't lose them, because you will want to glue them back in after you bleach it and wash it off. If you do a deer, the antlers will bleach as well. I always touch mine up with black and brown shoe polish. You can also order antler die off the internet, I have never ordered any. Here is a deer I arrowed last year that I did a euro on.
