A friend of mine wants to use his 357 for hogs. I know you need a tough bullet. I can load for him--- any suggestions?

If you want a good factory load try Federal 180 grain Castcore. I have used them twice on Boars with very good results. I buy mine at Bass Pro, but your local gun shop should be able to get them.

As always, have your friend sight in his pistol with these, or any other loads. In my GP-100, they grouped about 6" low at 50 yards. A few twists of the sight screw later and they were spot on.

Look for broadside, or quartering away shots, the shoulders can be damn tough.
