Default Lots of tracks, but no hogs

I went Hog hunting this weekend at the Brazos river.. I saw a lot of tracks however the river was full of fishermen until dark. They came out of the woods with flashlights and making noise.. I also had the wind to my back and it got so dark I couldn't see my sight pins on my bow...
I will retry this weekend (God Willing). I did start baiting an area, I am sure as the moon starts to peek it will get better, I also plan on making a stabilizer for my bow with a red lens to see at night, and doesn't spook the hogs.

If you want to hunt'em out of a stand in Florida...do it now!! If you try to hunt'em at night in the summer the bugs are so loud that you can't even here them 5 yds under the feeder. We use HawgLites on our bows with Lumenoks, both of which are available on my website. It's a blast, set the feeder to go off at an hour or so past dark.

Thanks Reb... Thats exactly what I had in mind. I can make one real easy. Hunting is a game that one must adapt to the conditions.

another thing you may want to think of is that the hogs may just be passing through the area. alot of the time hogs don't stay in the same place and often will move from property to property depending on the weather and such.

Rebel, I went to Cabela'stoday and bought a two million power rechargeable flood light with red and amber lens for twenty bucks. I also make a stabilizer using a flashlight with red lens.. I was going to try it out this weekend, but I have a 3D tournament I have to shoot.

Bob.

You wont find any hogs if you stay in the magic mushroom patch
