I am going on a hog hunt in February and need some help with shot placement. I am hunting with a rifle, and after I shoot one, will change to my bow. Does anyone know where I can find a shot placement chart or picture for wild boars? Or if you can just tell me the best place to put a bullet or arrow that would be great also.
Thanks,
Mike

just like you shoot a deer or elk or other wild game. just behind the sholder.as gitrbayed said quartering away is great.
most times the shield doesn't go far enough back to make ant difference.I have taken many, many wild boars and the shield hasn't stopped my bullets or arrows.
I have heard many horror stories about the shield stopping a 3006 or 308.maybe, but it has never stopped my little old 243.
have several mounted that went 300 lbs. and better.
just put it in the rib cage and they will go down and stay.
