Newbie going Hog Hunting this weekend
Hey all, I am heading to Eastern Texas this friday-sunday in hopes of getting two hogs. I will be taking my 50 cal muzzleloader and using 100 grains of Pyro with the new TC Shockwave Bonded bullets in 250 grain. Is this enough firepower and where do I get the best penetration on a hog. In otherwords where is the best spot to aim for? Do hog calls work? I got one and the wife seems to come readily to it when I blow it. Thanks for any info.

Do hog calls work?
Yes, but it takes alot of time for someone to learn how to use and understand what all the sounds mean!

Just don't hit it in the wrong place and piss him off! Remember you will only have one shot!
When I go with a Smoke Pole, I have a Rem. 1858 on my side also.

Reb, Having kids and a wife that works at the Disney Store I've seen that about 600 times.
You've proven once again that you know absolutely nothing about hog hunting. And it's snows alot in Tampa
