We like to run catahoula dogs around here. We catch lots of hogs and normally keep them alive but this is one we harvested. He is one of the better ones that we have caught.

Tex-Hog, I bred and hunted with Catahoula's over 45yrs! Brought back100's alive for the Christmas holidays. We got $2 a pound, dressed out.
Edit: I forgot, Congrats on the hog!

No Tex, the first registeredpairwe got from Arkansas and starting crossing with Rhodesian Ridge Back andPit Bull.In2000I gave up Hog huntingand started hunting deer and gave my dogs to my partner. He has over 20 dogs in Palm River which is 25 miles from me. He still hunts and catches hogs and he is 75yrs old!
He has like 15 or 16 wild hogs in the pen ready to butcher out for the holidays!

Thanks that hog came from freestone county Texas.
Tell Bud and Donna that I said howdy. It will probably be 2007 before I make another show. My mother has been fighting cancer for the last 6 or so years so we (wife and 3 daughters) have kind of put the dog shows on the back burner. Unfortunately it looks like the battle is pretty close to over.
If I make it down I'll look you up.
