Guys there is a universal bolt lift kit for Savage rifles. I got one for one of my Axis and it took all of <10 mins to install and reduces the amount of force needed to cycle the bolt. Savage bolts are notoriously stiff but this product really helps.

I have lift kits in all of my Savage centerfire rifles. Not terribly necessary, but certainly an improvement over the factory state for low enough cost to be well worth the price.
