Been thinking about doing something with the blued receiver and barrel (stock and forend?). Maybe a green cerakote? Thoughts/recommendations? If I get an OD green barrel, can that be cerakoted? (without much difficulty - thinking of having a friend who has done cerakote before do the work) Can the plastic butt stock (tactical) and forend also be coated? How about the scope?

Got the gun back from the hydro-dipper. I got to say, it looks awesome. I am very happy with the pattern (spring mimicry), the finish (it seems quite durable), and the overall look and feel. Final specs for my Turkey Slayer 500: Mossberg 500 "slugster", Blackhawk gen II telescoping stock & forend, aftermarket 20" barrel, hevishot turkey choke, 2.5 power scope, slogan outdoors sling. Turkeys better watch out!
