Default looking for a spanner wrench for Rem. 760 for the slide tube?

I'm working on a 760 and cannot loosen the tube the slide moves on. I've read some use spanner wrenches however, I can't find a specific wrench for this job. I've bent two punches trying to remove this piece. I don't want to damage the four holes in this tube to tighten and loosen the part. I fear a padded vise grip would still damage the part. Looking for ideas.
