The 870 is a tough gun for sure. I have accidentally backed over mine with my jeep and after replacin the stock it works just like new! I had problems with the cheap shells from walmart in the white box. I noticed when ejecting them they jammed because the metal of the shell would catch. I'm assuming it is because the shells are cheap therefore made with less metal which causes them to expand more or catch when ejecting. Everything else I have fed through it works fine.

One problem not mentioned here is the user does not "pump" the gun the full stroke backwards before psuhing the forearm back forward for the next round.

And when you change from 2 3/4 length shot shell to 3 inch or 3" to 3.5" it can create a problem and might not be considered as you are not correctly ejecting the spent round.

Just some food for thought.
