Yep, I still remember the first time I took my Dad's 100 year old Remington Model 11 apart and was wondering what the heck that wood stick was doing inside of his gun. Found out later it was a quick fix when a game warden came on the other end of the dove field.

Keep the Nova, it's a great gun. I use mine for a dedicated turkey gun.
