I have a original 700P for sale. (no bolt key on police model) I had it rebarreled about a year or so ago to a 1in10 twist Krieger Varmint contour heavy barrel 26". Trigger down to 2.2lbs and very nice. Target crown, lugs lapped and action squared by very good gunsmith. Has a H-S varmint stock. Wieghts around 9.5lbs. Satin Blue finish. Was originally parkerized finish.

Has ~250 documented rounds, most 190gr matchkings, and other 200gr accubonds. Very accurate shooter. I get on average .7MOA at 100 yards with 94gr of Retumbo and 190gr matchkings. Does pack a wollop however. Checked errosion with stoney point and hawkeye scope and almost none. Barrel in fine shape.

Well, Idaho, first off this weekend I have totally lost every piece of land to shoot over 100 yards in MD.[:@] Second, with my diabetes, my eyesight fluctuates so much. That this weekend, I had trouble seeing the target past any distances. I shot 4 rifles and sucked at all of them.[:@] Lastly, somehow I have developed a flinch. I would get 2 or 3 clustering and then one flyer 2" low. Always low. So we put it in a machine rest and .5MOA was the norm. It was a huge hit on the ego. Considering when the RUM's hit the streets, I had no trouble shooting it. And have shot well over 2000 rounds form a 300RUM. These days, I am so rattled, I can't shoot many of my rifles that well.

I don't know, maybe this is a knee jerk reaction to a bad weekend all around. I came home and started throwing several things up for sale. I might pull it back. Who knows, I might be living out west in the next 5 years and be able to shoot it more. I also have 4 guns I bought at an estate and now have a 7mm-08 heavy barrel and 45-70 that needs a scope.

I cant believe you are selling this gun!!!!! I have shot this gun guys, and it is a shooter....I shot under an inch with it my first group I shot!! I can vouch for B/C this is an excellant gun. B/C I will take the brass of your hands, dont get rid of them please!!!!

Actaully I am considering pulling it back. Slowly coming back to my senses. Who knows, in the future, I might be able to do some real long range work.

Gun gone. I swear, I think I am going to cry. I guess I figured it wouldn't sell and I would have no excuse but to keep it. Don't worry, I kept the brass and stoney point round for you.
