Well, I am not sure of you current ring hieght or bases. But what I recommend is a set of Leupold standard bases and "High" rings. Go to http://www.leupold.com/resources/Mou...rt/default.asp
and pick the Leupold VXII 3-9X50mm or VXIII 3.5-10X50mm and your gun. I know the ziess and leupold are a tad different, but it would be a good substitute. They will tell you the proper ring part number and height.

Leuopold rings will work just make sure that they are steel ring not alum. On all of my scope they are 50mm I use a mid high rings they leave about .25 clearance from the barrel any rings and bases will work. just my 2 cents

I like Leupold for hunting rifles. I do like sako rings on sako's however.
Leupold will work fine. They are very easy to find, and come in about any combo you want. I also find them good quality and thier screws don't back out easily. Ziess are hard to get ahold of and expensive.

And also its not uncommon that I will thing a scope is too high and go back and get a set of Mediums and try them and have plenty of space. So you might not get it right the first time but you should.

O2bebowhunting,
In my experience with leupold rings, you normally don't have to use the highs unless you have a 56mm scope. mediums are usually fine for a 50mm. It really depends on the rifle.

Come on bigcountry, ever since you got that Sako you’ve been a converted man to Sako rifles. Oops why did I go and say that !! I also like my Sako rings.
