PMC ammo ?
Anyone had any experience using PMC ammo? I see it listed at CheaperThanDirt, and
at MidwayUSA a lot. I've never tried it - yet. Just curious. |
RE: PMC ammo ?
Virgina,
I have shot hogs dead in thier tracks with PMC .30-30 Star Fires. You ought to see what they do to a hog. I still have 3 boxes of them, just for hogs. I normally shoot them with .35Rem, but have been using these for awhile. |
RE: PMC ammo ?
i have used the practice rounds by pmc. they are the full metal jackets. the 308's 147 grains are fare but the 223's 55 grains shoot real well. i believe they were 5 dollars a box. :)

RE: PMC ammo ?
Missed_another, PMC .30-30 Star Fire are solid copper with slits on the tip.
They open up like a rose and create a nasty wound. FMJ's have a lead core. They are against the law in FL for hunting. |
RE: PMC ammo ?
I buy up here for practice rounds. The 243 100 grains shot good groups in my 243 Handi rifle. The down side if you can call it that was that I chronographed some 30-06 150 grain PMC ammo and it was only running about 2600 fps. I quess thats about 300 fps behind the federal 150 grain Speer grandslams which clocked at 2940 in the same rifle.
