Default It's finally here!

After about 12 weeks, my Encore pistol is here. I'll have to do pics in multiple posts because I don't have the pics uploaded to photobucket yet.

I have a Nikon Monarch EER 2.5-8 x 28 ordered for it. Also, the factory trigger SUCKS! Does anyone offer an aftermarket adjustable for it? I'd like around 3# of pull. A 2 stage would really be nice.

This is my next project. Only difference will be mine will be all stainless.

Fine looking guns. I am sure that someone makes a trigger for them. I should know but right know I can't think who makes them. A search should come up with one.

Nice! Great caliber choice too. I take it this will be used on deer?

James, I did a Google search for Encore triggers and only came up with sites showing you a DIY trigger job.....I don't think so.

Swampman, I like all of the cartridges in the 6.5mm family and yes, both will be used for whitetail primarily. The 6.5 mag should have enough punch for mule deer or elk with the right loads. I already have a Rem 700 Mtn riflr chambered in .260 and I love it.

Great mike,i hope you have a lot of fun with it.Don,t you wish you had all the barrels? Want to hear a bad one, back in the middle 1960,s when they first came out,i was the first dealer in our area.To my surprise not then, but now,how they are popular.I never thought they would go over, boy was i wrong,it took some time but they did with a bang. vangunsmith

hey man love it and the 260 is my new favorite, the encore triggers are/can be unbelievable tuff, i thought my 209X50 m/l'er was 9#[:@], i sent mine to mike bellm, he did a great job on both of my frames one for cold weather/gloves @3.5 the other @3# even, been over 3 years but i think shipping and everything was less than 50 apiece, and they both have great triggers now. you can contact his web site and if memory serves me correctly i labled the box firearms repair and it was no hassle, (get it insured just in case), mine went there and back w/o a hitch, best of luck....
