Hey guys IYO what is the best factory load for a 7 mill remington on moose/bear. I see the sierra game king 165 gr by federal is the most bastically superior and highest in energy, however is that bullet any good for large game such as moose and bear? What are some other good ones? What do you think of the 160 grain accybonds? Thanks, Spence.

The 175 grain Speer Grand Slam would be my suggestion. It was a favorite of mine when I shot the 7 Mags. I shoot the 280 now with the Nosler Partition.

160 AB's worked JFL for me last fall harvesting a moose and elk. Probably the most used/agreed upon bullet for larger game would be Nosler Partition, excellent bullet and really the one all premiums are judged against. Other failsafe, barnes, swift a frame, TBBC, Speer GS, etc all will get the job done. IMHO stick with premium/solid constructed bullets and find the one your rifle likes to chuck the best.
I personally use 160 gr version when hunting Moose or elk but you have a choice between 140 - 175 gr dependant on the bullet your introduced in.

I'm shooting the 160g AB in my 7mm and, although I haven't had a chance to shoot anything yet, I'm confident it'll work fine for deer, elk, or bear if the chance presents itself. The Partition would be fine too as would the Trophy Bonded Bear Claw or any other bonded-core bullet or partition-type bullet. I would stay away from any of the ballistic-tips for this application as well as the standard bullets most factory loads come with that aren't a premium load. No doubt millions of animals have fallen to the Remington Corlok but I dont' believe they are good enough when it really counts.

I have taken several elk, moose and bear using the 140gr partition.Any premium bullet such as the partition, accubond, failsafe, tsx etc in 140gr or more will certainly do a good job.The best penetration that I have ever seen with any 7mm bullet was with the 140gr failsafe, it out penetrated the 175gr partition in the animals that I have seen it used on.

get a bigger gun!
In 7mmRem.Mag. factory ammo, suggest you might want to try the following. Go with
the one that shoots best in your rifle.
Federal Premium:
160gr. Trophy Bonded
160gr. Nosler Partition
175gr. Trophy Bonded
Remington:
160gr. Core-Lokt Ultra
