Default Tikka or Weatherby Vanguard

Now that I have figured out what calibre that I want I have been looking at guns for along time on what I want and can't make up my mind so I thought I'd ask you guys. Should I get the tikka T3 Lite Synthetic Blue 7mm Rem Mag for 719.95. Or should I get the Weatherby Vanguard Stainless 7mm Rem Mag for 649.95

I'm just having way to much trouble deciding.

The only difference is likely to be the price.....both have excellent reputations for quality.

Both are very good rifles but the tikkas that I have fired were a little more accurate than the vanguards that I have fired,so I do prefer the tikkas.

$719 for a T3 Lite?! Either you're in Canada, or your dealer is ripping you off. The Tikka T3 Lite in my area never go for more than $479. The Stainless Laminate version sells for either $579 or $599 (can't remember).

I picked up my T3 Lite .300 WSM on sale for $429. It's a great gun. There is nothing wrong with the Vanguard from what I've seen, but I liked the Tikka better, and the price was right.

I have a Tikka Whitetail Hunter and it's the best rifle I've ever shot, seen, or heard about. Highly recommended plus their accuracy guarentee is better than the Weatherby, plus ammo is much cheaper.

Flip a coin, or pick the one that feels better on you. Good luck.

The Weatherby Vanguard. Also the Vanguard fires the same ammo as the Tikka. Most are chambered in standard not Weatherby catridges. Weatherbys don't blow up on you either.
