went to get some line for my fishing pole today and the shop had a brand new remington bdl 30-06 for $375!! i couldn't pass it up. so now i am home putting a scope on it and then going to go shoot it some. you just never know what you might stumble on

thanks. I didn't shoot it to much. took 3 shots to get it sighted in and a quick 3 shot group that went about 1 1/2 inches at 100 yards.

The price was exellent, is this one one of the old models in which the safety locks the bolt? or one of the new ones were you can activate the bolt to unload with the safety "on"

Hey i was also at a gunshop today and say a 700. The guy said it was a Bdl but i went on remingtons site later and the gun at the shop was a lot darker and had a recoil pad, could you guys possibley tell me what it is. Again, It was a Remington 700, looked exactly like a BDL with a shade darker and a recoil pad on it, also looks like a Remington Custom C.

Just went on Gunbroker.com i think it is the BDL just in the picture on remingtons site it looks lighter. oh and congratulations on your nice deal killer 243

white bear it is the older kind that you have to take the safty off to opent the bolt.

You got an AWESOME deal on your BDL. I paid much more for mine last year, not that I'm bitter. I love mine; very accurate with handloads. I took a very nice wild hog in December with mine.
