After I shot it without the brake i had not developed a flinch.
After you shoot it without the brake for a while you will no longer require hearing protection, because your hearing will be so damaged you won't be able to hear anyways.

Go for the BIG DOG put these 300 win mag and RUM and WSM cry a$$es in their place.
Yeah, 'cause the DNR has started issuing elk and deer bullet resistant soft body armor and a 300 Win Mag or WSM won't kill 'em any more![:@]

Go with the big dog, 'cause you can't miss them fast emough to kill them, but at least you missed. Or you could go with a lighter, but still perfectly effective, round and be a better marksman. The rifle won't make up for crappy marksmanship.

The big fiddy isnt even close to practical for big game. 14,000 lbs of energy is rediculous for anything in north america.

I'll stick to my .300 Win Mag and .308 Winchester.

Now its a game on who has the biggest or baddest... Before you go hunting somewhere keep us posted as to your whereabouts(if you can do that) so we can stay clear of the area. Thanks

When i say big dog i mean 30-378. And you will know where I am cuz Boone and Crockett will be there or Pope and young.

drfatguy a 300 ultra will not do anything more than a 300wby. in factory rounds the weatherby actually out performs the ultra and the people i've seen at the range with reloads aren't getting any better than i do with my 300 wby.
I have heard you say alot of things that make me shake my head, but this one takes the cake. As a shooter of all mentioned except the 30-378.

Why is everyone so scared to try anything new? I admit the 30-378 is more than I can handle, cause if I can't shoot it without a break, I have no business shooting it, but if the guy can handle the recoil, why not? Maybe he's not in your situation can't affording the shells. Maybe he just likes guns and wants something different.

Its not my choice, but not everyone is in the same situation as people who post. If everyone took the logical choice on here getting only what they need, everyone would be driving hybrid cars instead of thier F350's to run around town. Buying cheap tools instead of MAC or snapon.
