RE: Youth hunting rifle
My son is 10 and i have made the decision to get him the remington 7 stainless composite stock in either .308 or .260. something he don't have to grow out of.

RE: Youth hunting rifle
take it from a youth (me), a .243 is perfect. I'm outgrowing it now but it served me well, got it when I got my license at the age of 12. It's a savage 110 .243

RE: Youth hunting rifle
LittleHuntinFool, how do you outgrow a 243? I still use a 243. Do you mean you are outgrowing the rifle itself size-wise?
texasducks75093, I usually shoot on Sundays. Shoot me an e-mail if you are interested. |

I've gotten bigger but I still do shoot it. What I mean is I bought it because it was a good beginer rifle for deer but now I can handle bigger calibers, heavier recoil etc etc. Heck I was 12 at the time. I'm almost 17 now. I still love to shoot it though. Great gun. Thank you savage. |
