I agree with some that it would be a bit too heavy to lug around stalking for elk, and you must be planning on very long shots, then it would be nice to have the harris bi-pod but again the gun itself is going to be heavy enough. It's a hell of a nice looking gun tho.

I have a Sendero with blued barrel and laminate stock that they claim weighs 9 lbs. It is a handfull after installing a Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16X40 but even the first loads are at about 1 inch. Mine is a 300 RUM. I do believe it will be a keeper.

Well Guys I took it to the range Sunday and shot the first 8 rounds and I am very happy. I shot 4 rds of Remington 190 grn. SPBT and got a 1 1/2 inch group. I then fired four rds of Hornady 180 gr SP and got a four shot group just under an inch. Heck it's not even broke in.
I think the extra weight hunting Elk will be worth it.
Thanks again for all the advice, you all said it would be an accurate rifle but a little heavy. It's no heavier than that M-14 I lugged around in the Marine Corps even if I was 18 at the time.
