Cant go wrong with a remington:) i have pretty much the same gun but in a pump action....:D it can knock a dime off a tee at 100yards

I like the Remington 700's. When you get into the larger caliber firearms the new lightweight or sporter models are less in weight, but bigger on recoil. My favorite hunting rifle is the 700 VLS in 308 Win. The added weight is not to reuce recoil, but the additional front weight of this barrel makes for a much steadier platform for those long shots that seem to be an issue with the lighter barrel models. A bit more weight, but well worth it.;)
