Went to a gunshow yesterday with my friend. He has a mint Ruger mini 14 w/ rings and an extra clip. He is wanting to trade for a Nova (camo) even up. I told him I thought the ruger, even used, was worth more than a new nova. Best offer he got was $50 difference. He is kicking around the idea today. I am tempted to give him the $350 for the mini myself, and I don't even like them. Just seems like he is getting the shaft on this one. Whadda ya think?

i bought a used mini at a gun show for 400, synthetic and stainless version. its a sweet gun but for a 223 the accuracy isnt there. i was really dissapointed in the long range accuracy of the gun.

yea the accuracy isnt to impressive especially compared to a AR-15, but with my mini-14 with brown bear 62 grain HP ammo i can hold consistant 2 inch groups at 100 yards, ive killed several coyotes asfar as 200 yards with it. Ill be first to admit you wont win any competitions with a mini-14 but they are accurate enough for what they were intended for.
