Does any one here have the 870 combo shotgun with the 26 inch Modified barrel and the 20 inch rifled slug barrel with sights? If so how does it work? Is it a pretty good buy? I have never had a slug barrel as I have always lived in rifle hunting areas. Have you ever tried Dixie Slugs?

Thanks. I see they have two different models (barrel wise) one with a 28 inch and one with 26 inch. Does the Rem Chock mean that they have interchangable tubes? What will the Slug barrel do at 75-100 yards?

I get 2MOA accuracy with 2.75" copper solids and 2.75" federal hydroshoks. I get 3MOA with winchester partitions. You got to experiment. Most slug guns don't like 3" or the ligher, faster slugs. You get some good groups but then unexplained flyers. It gets 3MOA consistently with lightfields. Same with my browning gold with cantilever barrel.

yeah I have the 870 Supermag combo 26" rem choke, and 20" rifled slug barrel, I have not shot it alot. I tried the cheapie sluggers from Remington, and couldnt get them to group real well. I missed a real nice 8 pt with it on opening day 2 yrs ago, so its kinda on my s&*t list right now, (even though it probably was my fault)
. But I am trying better grade slugs in it right now to take with me on my hog hunt next month.
