I used the brennekes last year with a smooth bore barrel and it worked awesome. I was dead on at 100 yards. I shot a 160 lb doe from about 90 yards no problem, it put a 2" hole in and a 4" hole out. yes, four inches. If i ever hunt with a slug gun again, I will use them unless they just wont group out of a different gun. I will use my new omega next year! They arent too expensive, so you should at least give them a try.

In my mind given your criteria,(knockdown power/not extreme accuracy), here is the best choice. That is the Lightfield 3 1/2 in. IDS. The 1-1/16oz 465gr sabot hits like a .73 caliber bullet. These are definitely the hardest hitting slugs,(from both ends of the gun), I have ever shot.
