yeah there accurate. check out www.rimfirecentral.com lots of people post there groups. for the money you cant beat a marlin. o by the way your post name is 17wrm not 17Hmr. the trigger is heavy but cant be lighten with a simple spring swap or you could buy a rifel basix triger if yea wanted. i did the swap but i think i might put it back to stock just because when you tighten it you notice the slop in the trigger but you could shim it. the 17hmr is great for gophers, it will split the small ones in two.
heres a pic of my marlin 917vs.

i have a savage 93 fvss in 17 hmr was a very accurate gun out of the box but the trigger was not so great. i have done some modifications to it and now i wouldnt trade it for the world. i have fixed the trigger buy smoothing the trigger assembly, replaced the spring, and shimmed the trigger to take out the play. now i have no complaints!!!!!also i have putin some swivels for a sling. the other night i was making headshots on foxes and coons at 100 plus yards cant say enough about this gun.

So how's yours shooting? I notice the stainless is so much more than the blued. How much do they run in your parts? I am definately going to start to do some research.

I haven't made any posts here so I don't know if posting a dead squirrel would offend anyone??? If so e-mail me and I'll take it off.
Here is a pick of a squirrel I shot with a Ruger 7717. My ex GF's dad has a gun shop. I hit him at 80 yards off of their back yard deck. The shot didn't kill him [
]so I had to take him out with a stick. [:@] A better placed shot would have taken him out.
I would love to buy a 17hmr but I think I'll buy a muzzelloader first. The deer meat goes a lot further then the squirrel meat.

btw, sorry to offend any one.
