Remington 700 CDL, it was a mid 2004 entry into the CDL line. I spoke with a Remington Rep in town and he said they are available but not listed on the website. Browning A-Bolt II, Ruger Model 77, Thompson Center Encore, NEF Handi Rifle, & at gun shows I have seen new in the box Remington ADL synthetics that aren't cataloged and Winchester model 70 Featerweights with stainless actions also. The Remington CDL, Weatherby, & Thompson have 24" barrels the other will have 22" barrels. Although I'm not sure on the NEF Barrel length. Ruger also chambers the #1 with a 26" barrel for the 280. It's a fine caliber that I shoot and any of the rifles should do well.

Sako makes one of the finest 280 rifles made period. Pricey but worth every penny. I own and shoot 9 of the darn things. Bought my first one in 1960 for 100 bucks and it's worth over 1200. Great rifles...tack drivers. look at mod 75 hunter...http://www.berettausa.com/product/pr...ifles_main.htm
