Wondering if anyone has put some rounds through a tikka T3 7mm that the gun seemed to prefer? I'm not worried about the price, just about the price of going through 4 or five different rounds if that's not necessary. thanks for any help.

I think you will find it shoots everything better than you expect. I would start with 150 gr bullet as its kinda in the middle barrel twist wise. I know my Sako Finnlite in 7mm rem mag outshoots many heavy barrel varminters with 150 Ballistic tips.

i was reading ballistic charts and it says the 7mm was best with a 150 ss. it was the fastest, the longest shooting, and had the most energy. what does the ss stand for?

Not sure what that is. Maybe you mean SST which is Hornadys version of the ballistic tip.

na, it actually says 150 ss. there also is a 150 pshcp or something similar as well.
