I dont think theres any way the 7mm Rem Mag is ever going anywhere. Its a fine gun and will basically do it all....cant go wrong with em. Flat shooting...reasonable recoil, plenty of power and a great bullet selection. Also available in most every model of gun made....whats not to love?

taking ammo availability and cost out of the picture i would go with the 270 WSM. but if you are worried about the high cost of ammo and being able to find it i would go with 7mm. personally i would get a 7mm-08 and not a 7mmrm or rum
