Hey guys I am just wondering cause i was at wally world this past weekend and I seen what I feel is a pretty good deal. It is a 3 barrel singlshot Rossi combo. It come with a .17hmr,a.270,and a.50 cal muzzleloader. All three and a nice little case for em for $250.00!! I dont have a any of theses 3 calibers and I figured it would be a good opportunity to expand a little. I have about 15 other guns, but none are these. I have been wanting to start muzzleloading too.I used to have a Rossi .223 single shot, I got it just to plink around with and i liked it , just didnt see a need to have it as I dont varmint hunt. I also have a .243 if I need it.
When I sold guns they sold like hotcakes, never had any complaints from customers, but Ive had little experience with the guns myself. So anyway I was just taking opinions.Seems like a pretty good way to get 3 new rifles.
PS I bet that .270 and .50 sure will kick in a light little single shot.

I have had 2 rossi's, a 22 pump that was nickel plated and a 357 revolver. Taurus now makes both guns. No problems with either gun, but I sold both of them. The pistol was a good shooting gun. The 22 was ok.

I have a muzzel loader it shoots good.
That said if you HAVE ot have a safty buy the Rossi otherwise I would recomend you look at H&R IMO they are better guns and the customer service is much better .
Rossi promised me that rifle barrels would be imported for almost 2 years before I gave up calling.

I don't like them. If you really check the sights you won't either. They are only adjustable for windage ( I bought my son a .22 single shot and this is the case I looked at one in .243 figuring they wouldn't use that same cheap sight on a center fire ..... well they do)
If you want an inexpensive single shot look to NEF. I think you'll be happier.

I had a bad experience with a Rossi - break action .243. It wouldn't ignite the cartridge, despite dimpling the primer, about 1/2 the time. When it DID work, it was not accurate. I tried several different brands of ammo - same problem. I got rid of this rifle immediately. Granted, this was only one experience, with one of their firearms - but, at this point, I do not recommend them.

I have a Rossi .223 Varmiter heavy barrel, very, very accurate can shoot the hell out of a playing card at 200 yds.Now with that said,I donot like the forarm atached to the barrel with the same screw as the sling. If you mess with this swivle stud it will throw your accruacy.I tightend the $hit out of mine, locktight and all.
But for $199.99 w/4-12x40mm Tasco World class Pluss scope, rings and bases, pluss case and 410 barell I'm happy.

That makes me wonder,Jack I have heard of that before. if I buy this setup and put a scope on the .270 and the .17 each...could I not just change barrels and it still be dead on???How does a screw change that, the scope/barrel mounting has not moved...right???

The screw is what ataches the barrel to the forarm,so if you put more or less pressure on the barrel it will change POI.It's kinda of like resting your gun on the forarm and then on the barrell. The more pressure you put on the barrell the more your POI will change.
The scope has not moved but if you don't have the exact same placement of the barrell you will be off.
