I call my .308 "Mother" after the sniper in navy seals and the fact that the first deer I took with her was a mother doe.

I never really thought about it.I guess I do have one for my Baby Glock M-27. "Ol'e Green Eyes" because of the green Trijicon night sights.

We should not name our guns because that would make them have a soul, making them a living object that is capable of independant action, which is just what anti-gunners need to take our guns from us...Ok, yeah right....Surprised that hasn't shown up on here yet, it does every year when this question comes up.

Anyway, I used to name my guns, pretty much the only ones that stuck was "old man" for my old Iver johnson single shot .410, and "lightnin" for my Ruger Mark II .22lr pistol. I used to call my Ruger .30-06 my screamin chicken, but I've got 13 other Rugers now, so that's kinda gone out the window. I call my first AR-15 "rattle-trap"...that's about all that I call the same thing consistently...as many as I've got, I'd forget their names anyway.
