Winchester Laredo ?

Hi guy's, I just picked up another rifle. This one is a winchester Model 70 Classic LAREDO in 7MM STW(Did not know that winchester made a gun in this caliber from the factory) I know pretty much about the model 70,But am not very familiar with the Laredo model. Does that designation give the rifle the heavy barrel and wide forearm on the stock? Thanks in advance if you know about these.BTW I just looked at EKM post on long range heavy rifles. This is sorta going that way..........LOL

Yeah Greg it kinda favors the Sendero.I have a homemade STW based on a remmie action. If I could have bought a factory rifle at the time this one would be it. It has a 26" heavy barrel, claw, all of the win.traits.Now I have to go spend a bundle on some optics.I am thinking somewhere in the line of up to 20 power. If it shoots anywhere as good as my model 70 in 7 Rem.Mag I am going to have to retire "BABY DOLL"

I had one in 7 rem mag..most accurate rifle I have ever owned..My gunsmith told me they were assembled in Winchesters custom shop and used Douglass barrels. Just too much gun to lug around and not much different then the sendero in that respect. Tooo Heavy.
