ballistic tips or not

I have a tikka t3 in 30-06 i shoot 180 grain remington core-lokts. do you think i should stick with these bullets or by core-lokts with the tips on them or even the tipped sciroco bonded. i hunt in wisconsin and could have a 150 yard shot

How does it shoot? If it shoots groups that you are satisfied with, then stick w the Remmy's. If it's not what you want it to be, Accuracy that is, then consider a switch. I'd think if you can hit a 10" paper plate 5 of 5 at max range youll be shooting at, your in business. That gun and bullet combo should be close to MOA. I personally see no reason to change this close to season, in fact, aren't you in season right now?

ya we are in season, i wouldn't change now but i was thinking about changing for the late t zone
do u think regular bullets would hit hard enough cuz i don't wanna track

If they are working for you then why change? If you do switch to Ballistic tips, you will like them. Try the 165 or 180 grain. I have used them in the 30-06 and 308.

Learn to shoot well.....it'll take precidence over any bullet choice for deer hunting.
Remington corelokts and even the standard bullets from winchester and federal and yes.....Hornady will do just fine.
