I bought some 2 3/4 inch sabot's for my bolt action sluggun because they are easier to reload the 3 inch kept on getting jammed. I was just wondering how big a difference a 2 3/4 from a 3 inch would make? I wouldnt be shooting over 50 yards in the palce im hunting. I also have a scope if that makes a difference.

Depends on brand, wieght of sabot. There is tons of info out there on ballistics. Go to www.remington.com, or www.winchester.com, or just go to google and type in any sabot you got.

I know we're not talking rifles here, but wouldn't it make sense that a 3" shell is closer to the lands and grooves than a 2 3/4" shell (assuming a 3" chamber). For me, in my Browning A-Bolt, 3" shells easily outperform 2 3/4" shells hands down. It will shoot 1.5" all day long with Federal Barnes Sabot loads.
