Winchester Mod. 70 Ranger.
I found one of these mod. 70 Rangers at a local gun shop and was woundering if it was a decent rifle? I like the Win. rifles, But am more of a Rem. fan. I have never heard of a Ranger rifle in the Winchester mod. 70. They are asking $389.00 for it. It has sights and a blonde stock, and a cheap Bushnell scope on it.
So any input on this Perticular rifle (not the scope) would be helpful.
Thank you.

RE: Winchester Mod. 70 Ranger.
As best I recall, Rangers were sort of an economy model 70. Kind of like the old Remington model 78. Rangers were hardwood stocks (not walnut), with blued finish.
I think they were made in 270 and 30-06.
